The reason why I like Diesel is when I get in a cars accident my truck is very unlikely to blow up. The why you mistreat it is if you put Diesel fuel and put it in a petroleum car. The typical Diesel engine 20:1 compression for the pistons. In a Diesel engine instead of a spark plug you have a glow plug and in a petrol car you have a spark plug. Diesels is a good fuel for hauling goods and services. But if you mistreat it (not that I care) just don't do that. Just to say Diesel engines last longer because they're more maintenance. Gas engines are less maintenance and don't last as long. That's why I'm getting a Diesel truck I prefer a Cummins. My main idea is why Diesel fuel is safer and more reliable. I hope you are sorry Diesel fans but use your trucks for hauling things. Also remember Diesel trucks take longer to start because it is a glow plug and a car is not

  18. “Let them Eat cake!”

    By: Kassia S.

One of the most famous quotes in history is “Let them eat cake”. It is said that Marie-Antoinette said it. That at sometime in 1789, when she was told that her French subjects did not have any bread, Marie-Antoinette said the famous quote of “Let them eat cake”.

It is said that with this quote the Queen became a hated symbol and the statement helped cause the revolution that would cause her to lose her head several years later.

Many historians however say that she didn’t even say those words. Lady Antonia Fraser, who wrote a biography of the French queen felt that Marie-Antoinette would never have said those words. She possessed a sensitivity towards the poor people of France.

Another fact of why she most likely didn’t say it is that the phrase was around for years before 1789. Over the next century, several other 18th century royals were blamed for the phrase, including two aunts of Louis XVI.

In conclusion, whoever said those famous words was almost certainly not Marie-Antoinette according to historians.

This next paragraph is going to talk about diesel fuel and why it is useful. We’re getting into the body and that’s going to talk about diesel fuel. Why are people tree huggers get with the program Priuses are you getting mad because diesel trucks are rolling coal on you that’s because you aren't filling your car up with diesel every morning. The way you abuse diesel fuel is by putting it in a petroleum fueled vehicle. A diesel fueled vehicle is safe because as you see in my TED-Ed if you drop a match in diesel it won’t blow up. The reason why I like diesel is when I get into a car accident my truck is very unlikely to blow up. The typical diesel engine is 20:1 compression for the pistons. 20. Are You Smarter Than a Monkey?
    By :Daniela D.
You never monkey with the truth -Ben Bradlee

Monkeys know so much. But why? Well it is because they pass information from one generation to the next. Like how humans do They teach each other . It really is monkey see monkey do .But it goes much deeper then that

Some monkeys have even been seen doing human actions like sawing wood, combing hair and even hammering nails into wood. Then an orangutan was seen making a hammock. By tying the hammock between two trees , winding the rope and threading it through a metal ring. If the animal failed it would try again . like a human would the monkey uses the skill imitation to imitate the human.
But they don't ned someone to imitate but, tries tofigure it out on their own.

The monkeys curiosity leads them to try new things . The young learn by watching , doing and when their family teaches them . They can also figure things out by using past experience. Monkeys also turn past toys like sticks or leaves , ex into useful tools . Like turning a banana leaf into a hammock .

Monkeys are even as smart as a three year old toddler when you are solving puzzles. Capuchins, Chimpanzee and Bonobos were able to pull a piece of string . When they saw it released a prize of food . Scientists found that monkeys were only able to solve it when they could see the function of the puzzle.

That shows that monkeys are very smart . When it come to puzzles , tools , shelter and many other things . They pass on information and turn out to be very smart animals. They are as smart as people too .

  21. The Giraffe of the Forest
    By: Delani D.

Have you ever heard of the Okapi? The Okapi is more commonly referred to as the Giraffe of the Forest. The Okapi is very hard to see because it is shy and its fur blends into it’s surroundings.

The Okapi has a very strange appearance. The top half is auburn and looks a little like a horse. The bottom half, including its legs and behind, are striped black and look like a zebra. It’s long neck and tongue look very much like a giraffe, which is how it got its name. All of these features help the Okapi survive in it’s habitat.

Okapi live in tropical rainforests and rely heavily on their habitat to survive. Specifically, they live in the north-eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. While they are seldom seen, they can sometimes be spotted at water sources. The Okapi are herbivores and live off a diet of leaves, clay, and fruits.

The Okapi have been listed as an endangered species for the last fifteen years. Their main predators are the leopard and humans. While leopards hunt them for food, humans hunt for their beautiful fur. Humans are also destroying their habitat by cutting down trees that provide them with protection from predators and food.

The Okapi are Congo’s national animal. They have tried to protect the Okapi by creating a reservation of land in which they cannot be hunted. Several years ago the Okapi were called the African Unicorn. This name came from the idea that the people of the Congo thought the Okapi were a myth. That myth was proved wrong when the Okapi were officially discovered in 1901.

  25. Pros & Cons of Hybrid Vehicles
    By Rees G

You may think hybrid vehicles are cheap but they are not. Hybrids have a weak 12-volt battery that costs thousands of dollars to replace. Hybrids also have terrible highway mileage. There aren't many third-row seating hybrids.

Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) combine the benefits of gasoline engines and electric motors. They can be designed to meet different goals, such as better fuel economy or more power. Most hybrids use
Regenerative Braking. Regenerative braking recaptures energy normally lost during coasting or braking. It uses the forward motion of the wheels to turn the motor. This generates electricity and helps slow the vehicle. They also use electric motor drive/assist. The electric motor provides power to assist the engine in accelerating, passing, or hill climbing. This allows a smaller, more-efficient engine to be used. In some hybrids, the electric motor alone propels the vehicle at low speeds, where gasoline engines are least efficient. Last but not least they also use automatic start/stop. Automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle comes to a stop and restarts it when the accelerator is pressed. This reduces wasted energy from idling.

Hybrids teach you how to drive efficiently and you can beat Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards. Hybrids love the city and when you stop the battery generates more electricity. Don't worry about the battery even though they cost $2,000 to fix or replace. Most hybrid cars do not require any additional regular maintenance on the hybrid-specific components.

Most hybrids cost $10,000 more than the gasoline version. Dealers are much more willing to negotiate a lower deal with a gasoline vehicle than a hybrid. To put a charger for the hybrid costs nearly
$3,000. Some insurance companies believe that drivers of hybrid vehicles have a lower risk of being involved in an accident than drivers of non-hybrid vehicles.

Hybrid engines run cleaner then gas engines. You typically get an eight-year warranty on hybrid vehicles. Some states allow one person to be in a hybrid and drive in the carpool lane. If you drive hybrids fast it is not worth the money because they are not made for that. If you add the money you spend on gas to the gas version of a car it will take years for it to equal the hybrid. I hope you enjoyed this. What did you learn?

Power Split Device (PSD) The Toyota Prius is packed with some pretty high-tech stuff, but at the heart of the Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) is a simple little device called the Power Split Device, or PSD.

  27. Minecraft Mines Minerals!
    By: Kaisha H.

My topic is Minecraft. Minecraft is a great game for kids. It helps you learn and build in the game. “Minecraft is a journey with endless steps…That doesn’t start until you press the first button…W.” -unknown. Now you want to hear some facts?
Minecraft was created in just six days! The first ever name before Minecraft was “Cave Game”. Minecraft was not completed for another two years! Notch, the creator, also made different games, for example Dungeon Keeper, Roller Coaster Tycoon and Dwarf Fortress. Notch was trying to make a pig but some codes messed up and made a creeper!
A ghast voice is made from a sleeping cat! Isn’t that cool! If you go to mine for some minerals wear a pumpkin on your head and mobs wont attack. All cows are female because they can all give milk. It is much easier to catch fish in the rain.
Minecraft is as fun as a party. Minecraft is a blocky world. The blocky world is the BEST! Minecraft, mobs, mining, minerals! Minecraft is my life, (I wish) so you should play!!!
Minecraft is amazing but it’s time to log off. Let our brains sleep and get ideas of what you are building the next day. If you love Minecraft so much then play the next day. BUT NEVER SAY GOODBYE! But you can say one thing, ”Cya”!

  29. The shrew is new to you!
    By:Bryndal W.

The Sao Tome Shrew is one of the rarest animals on earth. It is the 8th rarest animal. They are listed as critically endangered. Little is known about their species. These shrews are very interesting.

The Sao Tome shrew is only about 3 inches long. It has dark brown fur, long pink tail and feet, It has long hind legs for jumping and small dark eyes and a long dark snout with whiskers.

The Sao Tome shrews habitat is in the Montane tropical forests .They live by human settlements witch makes them feel comfortable with humans. Montane tropical forest t has mountains and growing mountains it is very green there.

One main reason for the Sao Tome shrew being endangered is of deforestation and habitat Degradation. Due to the Portuguese settling in 1479 a lot of forest was cut down to make these houses and gardens. Other than those reasons there are many others for example both domestic and feral pigs, goats, sheep, cats, dogs, weasels, civets, rats, and mice deconstruct the shrews habitat.

Sure shrews have teeny tiny eyes causing them to have bad eyesight, but in return for that they have fantastic sense of hearing and smell! Most people think due to the shrews appearance they are apart of the rodent family but they are wrong. In no shape or form they are related to the rodent family.

  30. Did you know that there are unicorns in the ocean? These creatures weigh at one point five tons. The can grow 13 to 20 ft. Even know that narwhals live under water they are hunted by polar bears. The scientific name for narwhal is monodon Monoceros.

Have you ever wondered how many teeth narwhals have? Well they have two teeth that grow right under the narwhal’s upper lip. The male’s prominent teeth grow into a sword like spiral tusk. The tusk is the horn of a narwhal.

Do you know how narwhales hunt? Narwhals create a vacuum with their mouths and suck up all their food which includes squid, Greenland halibut, shrimp, arctic cod, rock fish and crab. The male narwhale tusk is thought to be playing a role in feeding because male and female consume the same diet.

Did you know that narwhals ae endangered? It is because the oil and gas development and the climate change all these reasons pose threats to narwhals. Increased development means shipping vessels, creating more opportunies for collisions and more under water noise that can interfere with communication among narwhals.

Unlike some whale species that migrate, narwhals spend their lives in the Arctic waters of Canada, Greenland, Norway and Russia. Most narwhals winter for up to five months under sea ice in the Baffin Bay-Davis Strait area.

Be sure to taste words before you spit them out. -Unknown

The tongue is a muscular structure attached to the floor of your mouth It is very flexible and helps you talk. The human tongue has and average 3,000-10,000 taste buds. The human tongue is divided into two parts the anterior and posterior. The tongue is very important to eat and talk.
You usually burn your tongue when you eat or drink something that is too hot. You can cure tongue burn by standard treatments. Sometimes you can feel a burning sensation without a burn. It is called burning tongue syndrome, which is also known as idiopathic glossopyrosis.
As you get older you will think something you did not like as a kid now tastes good. Your taste buds change every two weeks. To children food is way more intense. The less taste buds you have less intense food is. Children's taste buds are way different then adults taste buds.
Taste buds are known as papillae. You have a lot of papillae. There are supertasters who are a lot more sensitive than subtasters. Subtasters are people who can handle tastes other people can't.
Some people are subtasters and some are supertasters. Your tongue and taste buds are important. It is used to talk and taste. Don't take advantage of your mouth. Your mouth is very important.

  34. True or False
    By: Michael E

“He was buried, and He was raised from the dead on the third day just as the Scripture said.” 1 Corinthians 15:4

One of the most highly asked question is, “Is God real?” There is one answer to the question. John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God.” This verse says that God was before all.

So if God was before all was anyone before Him? No one was before God. The proof that God is real is that without Him you couldn’t prove anything. Look around you the sky, the grass, the water, all living and non living things are God’s creation. “And God said, ‘Let the water under the sky gather to one place, and let dry ground appear.’ And it was so. God called the dry ground ‘land’, and the water he gathered ‘seas’. And God saw it was good.”

What do you believe? Is God real? You may be thinking you need more proof. So here is the proof.
“For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.”Hebrews 3:4. “ The fool says in his heart ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity; there is none who does good.”Psalm 53:1 “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse.” Romans 1:20.

    GOD IS FOR REAL

    Black destruction
    By:Arthur

BlackWarGreymon is the virus counterpart of WarGreymon. Like WarGreymon, he is also equipped with the Dramon Destroyers, the gauntlets of which enable BlackWarGreymon to cut through almost anything, and incredible physical strength. He is also equipped with the Brave Shield, but unlike WarGreymon's, there's no Crest of Courage on his.
BlackWarGreymon is infamously feared as the "Black Dragon Warrior".

It is unknown why he became a virus type. His heart is black but he hates those that are cruel to others, and does not consider vulgar virus types his allies. The result of Arukenimon combining 100 control spires, Black WarGreymon was modeled after WarGreymon. But to his complex origin, BlackWarGreymon developed free-will, refusing to fight for Arukenimon.

He befrinded Agumon, who tried to help him with his issue about his existence. But BlackWarGreymon choose to destroy the seven Destiny Stones, thinking it would lead to both the answer and the opponent he sought. The DigiDestined had a hard time stopping him from destroying the Stones, which preserve the balance of the Digital World itself. Before he destoryed the last stone, he was confonted by Azulongmon, one of the four Digimon Soverigns and the opponent BlackWarGreymon hunted for.

After Azulongmon set him straight and told him that all living creatures have purpose, BlackWarGreymon left to ponder. He then appeared in the real world, with the intention of killing Oikawa, as he refused to allow him and his creations to do more harm. But WarGreymon and ImperialDramon stopped BlackWarGreymon and convinced him not to kill Oikawa. When Oikawa was momentarly possesed by Myotismon, BlackWarGreymon was fatally injured protecting Iori's grandfather.

Knowing the truth that Oikawa's a puppet, BlackWarGreymon used what remained of his lifeforce to create the barrier on the Hikarigota Gate to the DigiWorld (which Arukenimon and Mummymon used). Blackwargreymon can also go par and par with three D.N.A fused digimon accept Omnimon. Blackwargreymon can also fight Wargreymon and Imperialdramon (battle form) at the same time. 36. “ Let Them eat cake”!

    By: Kassia S.

One of the most famous quotes in history is “Let them eat cake”. It is said that Marie-Antoinette said it. She was queen of France during the French Revolution. Sometime in 1789, it has been said that when she was told that her starving subjects had no bread she used this phrase.

Cake was more expensive than bread and this statement showed that Marie-Antoinette possessed a sensitivity toward the poor people of France. However, many historians have said that she didn’t say those famous words. Lady Antonia Fraser, who wrote a biography of the French Queen felt that Marie-Antoinette would never had said such words.

Actually, it is said that Marie-Antoinette is supposed to have said “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche” which doesn’t exactly translate into “Let them eat cake”. It does translate as “Let them eat brioche”. Now, brioche is a rich bread made with eggs and butter, which could refer to a very rich cake. But it is highly doubted that the queen would have been referring to this dessert.

Most importantly though, there is no historical evidence that Marie-Antoinette ever said anything like this famous quote. Folklore writers have found similar tales around the world. These stories are popular and widespread legends.

The French Philosopher, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, in Book VI of Rousseau’s Confessions (in about 1767) writes about a quote from “a great princess”. Since Marie-Antoinette was definitely a princess at this time, she was still as child, so most likely Rousseau did not have her in mind.

The earliest known connection between the queen and the quote was published more than 50 years after the French Revolution. However, in an 1843 article of a journal, the French writer, Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr reported finding the quote in a book dated 1760 which he said proved that the rumor about Marie-Antoinette was false. But it is said that he was probably repeating something he had heard. In conclusion, whoever said those famous words was almost certainly not Marie-Antoinette.
